SPIIC+ Lecture Concert no.17: Raymond MacDonald – The Art of Becoming

Zum SPIIC+ Lecture Concert no.17 begrüßen wir den schottischen Improvisator und Saxophonisten Raymond MacDonald, der nicht nur als Begründer und langjähriger Leiter des international renommierten Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra aktiv ist, sondern darüber hinaus auch als Komponist, Wissenschaftler, Publizist und Kurator tätig ist, der in seiner Arbeit die Grenzen und Ambivalenzen zwischen dem, was konventionell als Improvisation und Komposition angesehen wird, auslotet.

Raymond MacDonald ist Professor für Musikpsychologie und Improvisation am Edinburgh College of Art und Autor zahlreicher Publikationen zum Thema Improvisation – zuletzt ‚The Art of Becoming – How Group Improvisation Works (Oxford University Press).
